The Public Transport Council launched the Caring SG Commuters Movement in 2017 to foster a caring commuting culture in Singapore. Through co-creation pilots with partners, it aims to enhance social cohesion by encouraging commuters to look out for one another during their daily commute. The Caring SG Commuters Committee, established in 2020, guides multi-agency efforts to grow the movement.

In collaboration with LTA and all four Public Transport Operators, PTC is promoting the Public Bus Inclusivity Course, initiated by Tower Transit Singapore. This programme complements the Caring Commuter Champion course by providing hands-on training to assist vulnerable commuters.
