Yellow Ribbon Singapore (YRSG)

At Yellow Ribbon Singapore, we galvanise society to uplift ex-offenders through skills and career development, co-creating opportunities for their successful reintegration and contribution back to society.

Yellow Ribbon Singapore (YRSG) adopts a multi-faceted approach to prepare inmates and ex-offenders for reintegration into society and re-join the national workforce. These include initiatives to help them develop skills and long-term careers through partnerships with industry, as well as initiatives to garner community support for and acceptance of ex-offenders. YRSG works with more than 7,000 like-minded partners. Our collective efforts have contributed to the low and stable recidivism rate in Singapore.

Yellow Ribbon Singapore (YRSG) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Home Affairs. YRSG advocates for ex-offenders, helps raise awareness of the challenges they face, and galvanises society to uplift ex-offenders through skills and career development, co-creating opportunities for their successful reintegration and contribution back to society. The Yellow Ribbon Project (YRP) is a movement that strives to build a more inclusive society by changing society’s mindset to give ex-offenders a second chance in life so that they can contribute and pay it forward to society. YRP celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, prompting collaboration and active community involvement in advocacy efforts through events and initiatives.
