Hazlina Abdul Halim brings with her over 15 years of experience in journalism and public affairs. She has held senior leadership roles – from newsrooms to the boardrooms.
She is currently Senior Vice President at a global CEO advisory firm. Prior to this, Hazlina was CEO of Make-A-Wish Singapore, an international children’s charity that grants the wishes of children with critical illness. She also served as the regional lead for eleven affiliates in APAC.
Previously, Hazlina was the Public Affairs Advisor at U.S. Embassy Singapore, and before that, a Presenter/Editor with CNA, Mediacorp. As Assignments Editor, Hazlina ran point in coordinating CNA’s resources, for key events and breaking news. She presented Berita, Singaporea’s national Malay news bulletin on TV for 15 years.
Hazlina is also a seasoned social impact leader. In 2024, she was conferred the Pingat Bakti Masyarakat (Public Service Medal) by the President of the Republic of Singapore.
Hazlina’s other appointments include being a member of parliament for East Coast GRC, Chairperson of Oaks Plus Limited (an early childhood education centre partner operator), Director of MigrantWell, Council Member of the Singapore Kindness Movement as well as National Council Against Drug Abuse and is a member of Community Chest.
She is married to an inspiring male ally.
