In Their Shoes (ITS) is an initiative by the SBF Foundation (SBFF) aimed at fostering empathy among corporate leaders by immersing them in simulations of real-life challenges faced by underserved communities. The programme helps participants understand societal issues more deeply and encourages them to advocate for inclusive and compassionate practices at the workplace.
Participants take part in carefully curated simulations that mirror the struggles of underserved communities, offering insight into the barriers they encounter daily.
Facilitated discussions help participants process their experiences, connect the insights gained to their roles as leaders, and explore actionable ways to drive positive change.
The programme equips corporate leaders with a heightened sense of social responsibility, encouraging them to champion inclusive initiatives within their spheres of influence.
Since 2023, 176 business leaders across 126 companies have taken the first step in understanding the challenges faced by individuals and families in our community.
