In Their Shoes 2026

In partnership with New Hope Community Services (NHCS) and Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH)In Their Shoes is a full-day immersive learning experience designed to help organisations deepen their understanding of poverty, homelessness, mental well-being, and social vulnerability in Singapore.

Combining a community Learning Journey with an interactive Poverty Simulation Workshop, the programme offers participants a rare opportunity to move beyond awareness and gain meaningful insights into the lived experiences of vulnerable individuals and families.

Learning Journey
Experience a guided community immersion with NHCS and SAMH, including site visits, community sharing sessions, and facilitated discussions. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable communities and the vital role of community support in creating pathways towards stability and resilience.

Poverty Simulation Workshop
An interactive simulation that places participants in realistic scenarios, where they navigate financial hardship, housing insecurity, and systemic barriers under pressure. The experience encourages critical reflection on the complexities of poverty and its impact on individuals, families, and communities.
