24 July 2026 – MigrantWell Singapore (MWS), an initiative of the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) Foundation, hosted a Ministerial & Donor Networking Luncheon at St. Andrew’s Migrant Worker Medical Centre (SAMWMC), Penjuru Recreation Centre, bringing together founding donors, board directors and business leaders from across Singapore’s Construction, Marine, and Process (CMP) sectors.

The event was graced by Guest-of-Honour Dr Tan See Leng, Minister for Manpower, in one of his final engagements overseeing the manpower portfolio as he moves to become Minister for Trade and Industry (Energy and Industry). Following remarks by MWS Chairman Mr Ho Meng Kit, SBF Foundation Chairman Ms Janet Ang and the Minister, guests heard presentations by the MWS Secretariat and co-host St. Andrew’s Mission Hospital (SAMH) on the Centre’s impact, followed by a tour of SAMWMC’s facilities and a luncheon.

Guests included representatives of MWS’s founding donors — the Estate of Khoo Teck Puat and the Estate of Ng Teng Fong — alongside key business leaders from Woh Hup, Centurion Corporation, DLM Pte Ltd, the Migrant Workers’ Assistance Fund and the Migrant Workers’ Centre, together with MWS board directors and SBF Foundation leadership.

Since its founding in 2021 — sparked by the healthcare gaps for migrant workers exposed during the COVID-19 pandemic — MWS has grown from a care compact into an ecosystem convening dental, physiotherapy and psychological care partners on behalf of Singapore’s migrant workforce. MWS has cumulatively supported over 37,500 migrant workers from more than 5,700 employers, delivering 30,984 dental services, 4,039 physiotherapy sessions, and psychological care to 2,485 individuals. SAMWMC, which opened in 2022 and has served as an Anchor Operator under the Ministry of Manpower’s Primary Care Plan, has recorded more than 313,000 worker visits for medical examinations, vaccinations and follow-up care since its founding.

The luncheon was a testament to the enduring commitment of MWS’s donor and partner community — and a fitting milestone as Minister Tan concluded his tenure overseeing Singapore’s manpower portfolio.

MWS extended its thanks to co-host St. Andrew’s Community Hospital, and to all who continue to make healthcare more accessible for migrant workers.
