More than 1,000 corporate participants from over 40 organisations came together at Marina Bay on Sunday, 9 November 2025, for the inaugural Walk for Work, a charity walk organised by the SBF Foundation in support of their flagship programme, EmployWell.
The event was graced by President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Patron of SBF Foundation, who flagged off the Walk at 10am. Participants from organisations including Micron Semiconductor Asia Pacific, SBS Transit and Stahl Asia Pacific each mobilised more than 100 employees to complete a scenic 4-kilometre route around Marina Bay – symbolising the business community’s commitment to inclusive employment and collective action for social good.
With the generous support of 30 donors from the business community, including Asia Resource Corporation, BinjaiTree, City Developments Limited, DBS Foundation, Far East Organization, OSIM, Pontiac Land Group, Royal Eagle Group, SingTel and Temasek, Walk for Work 2025 has raised over SGD$1.45 million to date. Funds raised will directly support job training, placement, and employment engagement efforts under the EmployWell programme.
Sponsors such as Amara, Banyan Tree, CapitaLand Group, Gatorade, Kulnari Mystery Golf, Néstlé Singapore, Singapore Airlines and Ya Kun also supported the event with prizes to encourage event participants to gain deeper insights into inclusive hiring. Through the EmployWell Impact Trail, participants actively engaged with 10 inclusive exhibition partners, including inclusive employers such as The Circular Classroom and UEMS Solutions, learning how organisations can translate inclusivity into action by enabling meaningful work for vulnerable communities.
The success of Walk for Work 2025 reflects the collective spirit of Singapore’s business community – walking together to build a future where inclusivity and opportunity go hand in hand, and where no one is left behind.
